Save The Date!

I'm baaaack! :)

I created and printed off our save the dates on vistaprint... can't wait to get them in so i can line up my army (eric and a lucky bridesmaid hehe) to embellish and layer our save the dates!

I wanted them really simple since i am doing some embellishments after we get them hot off the press. Here's a little preview:

DIY projects

I am starting this weekend on a few DIY projects for the wedding. Our extra bedroom is getting filled with arts & crafts, glass jars, candle holders, linen napkins and lots of various wedding items already. My goal this weekend is to clean out and organize the from-now-on-referred-to-as the wedding planning room! Eric is going to be jumping with joy when he realizes his junk is being moved elsewhere hehe.

Have a happy weekend!

Cakey Tastey

Our first cake tasting consulation went well! E, myself and bridesmaid #1 went to Creme de la Creme off Lancaster in Ft. Worth on Saturday afternoon for some tastey cake action. The cafe was decorated so freakin' cute!

The cakes were VERY moist, the displays were gorgeous and the cake ladies were sweet. Our top favorite flavors of the day:
E- white cake w/blackberry filling & traditional white w/white buttercream
Mine- white cake w/cream cheese filling & sweet almond cake w/buttercream
BM#1- traditional white & a chocolate brownie <-- heh.
We have a few more appointments with other bakeries but I think Creme de la Creme will remain in top standing. (at least in my book, and hey, the bride always gets what she wants) :]

Let them eat cake.

A close friend of mine (a chef with a cake business) offered to make our wedding cake when we got engaged. E's grandmother in Missouri recently found out our wedding is next May and wants to make our wedding cake as a gift (also does cakes on the side) Eric says he can't tell her no. I've found a bakery where I want to order my pretty cake. My solution = Grandma does grooms cake, friend does food and I book my freakin' cake lady before someone snatches her.

Simple, pretty, ribbon, if I use flowers, only some at the base and a blingy monogrammed cake topper... that's all I want.

Our e-session is next Sunday, I am going for a dramatic haircut on Saturday (REBEL, I know!!)

12 Month Shred!

Since Eric and I met 3 years ago, I have managed to put on quite a ton of weight. I guess that is when you know you are truly happy with someone but WOW I really did let myself go! I never have been a tiny little thing but would like to get back into shape and at least be where I was when I met him 3 years ago. I have put my booty in gear and am determined to look smokin' in my wedding dress. I won't even try on dresses until I hit a target weight I have set for myself.

Since February, I have cut back on my daily caloric intake and am vigorously working out at least 4 times a week and am starting to see the results... finally! Below is my schedule but I plan on switching it up every few weeks to keep my body guessing.

Weekly Workout Regimen:
Monday: Cardio for 40 min (while watching Dancing with the Stars), weights, ab workout
Tuesday: Cardio Fusion - an hour long class, Boot camp style with circuits
Wednesday: Spinning Class for an hour
Thursday: Cardio Fusion - Step class w/resistance training
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Cardio 40 min, weights
Sunday: Rest

Whew, I can definitely tell the difference in my energy level, especially in the mornings! I am not having to rely on my snooze button any longer and am feeling alot healthier and better about myself! Having Kim as a workout partner is definitely help keeping me motivated.

I will be updating on my progress so stay tuned!

Submitted my taxes via free e-file and received my rebate in my account in less than 2 weeks... AWESOME!! Half is being put towards the wedding, the rest being invested into my wardrobe and credit card. :]

XO

Le xyron

Invested in one of these bad boys...

Since I plan on doing quite a few DIY projects for the big day, I figured I needed alot of time to get to know the xyron creative station. Okay maybe a year and some odd days is quite some time but hey, couldn't let my 40% off coupon @ michael's expire.

Look at all the cute stuff I made at the Stampin' Up party @ the Conners today:

*phone cam, can't find my memory card for my digital camera :(

Back to blogging, y'all!

Hey everyone! I am back to the blogging world :)

We are tying the knot May 22, 2010 @ A & M Gardens in Azle, TX. I think it is one of the best kept secrets in DFW! Eric and I both really loved it and decided we didn't need to look anywhere else (it was our first place to tour). Our ceremony will be in the beautiful garden and reception to follow in the banquet facility! They have a pretty little fountatin in the entrance and I think the whole venue suits our taste very well! Check out their website at http://www.aandmgardens.com/ for pictures!

I also set up to get our engagement photos taken in April! I have been researching for a photographer for about a year now and I have finally found one! She is very talented and unique, not to mention a total sweetheart! Her name is Allison Davis and her website is http://www.adavisphotos.com/ for my b-maids that are interested in checking her out. Go to Galleries and "inspiring couples" to find her engagement sessions.

I have narrowed my color scheme down to:

Pink & Black

Grapefruit pink, lemon, pastel green

Green apple & Black

and Pink (rosey or another hue) and Green(pistachio or celery hue)

Let me know what you think!

I will updating here pretty often, so please check back soon!
